May - back to the basics.
Plenty of tuning going on in Portland harbour!
More of a low key month - focusing back on the basics; shaping up our boat handling, testing kit and putting in a fitness block.
Based out of Weymouth this month, we nailed down some equipment testing we had scheduled in after the April events, and hit the gym! Its very important for us to spend some weeks keeping on top of our equipment and programme; not having any stresses of upcoming events or fancy venues and really going back to basic squad training!
We’ve spent the last few days of the month preparing and loading up our kit for Marseille; where it will be until mid August.
We are very excited to get some hours in the Olympic venue! Many of our friends are already out there training and say what a great spot it is!
Some very exciting news is that we have our new Ziegelmayer boat arriving very soon! We’ve had meetings with the Ziegelmayer team over the last few months and its now it’s in the final stages of production! We choose the layout and positioning of every fitting and every system to be just how we want it; as well as choosing the inside colour of the boat! (What’s it going to be??!)
So watch out for an update!
*A SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO VITALITY; who have generously supported us in funding our new sails for this Autumn’s events - Europeans and Worlds. We are so excited to have you onboard our journey to the Olympics!
Upcoming events …
Olympic test event - The Hague, 10-21 August
Europeans - Turkey, 10-18 September
Worlds - Israel, 21-29 October
All our events and event websites are linked on our website:
This year we will be doing update videos that will be posted on the highlights page of our website each month so you can see what we’re getting up to.
May video edit is up!
Please please share this with anyone who you think might be interested; they have the chance to help our team go to the Olympic Games! We need the funds now more that ever to get that jump over our competition. We have a new boat on order for June which will use up half of our funding for the year.
We are immensely grateful to everyone who has been supporting us, you support and encouragement means a lot to us and gives the confidence to keep fighting! Not long now until our Olympic trials!
As always, any contribution to travel, accommodation, entry costs (etc) will be massively appreciated and will go along way!
If you want to help us out on our journey to Paris 2024 or want to chat, then please give us a call!
